Fedoras! Headpieces! Helmets! See The Most Show-Stopping Headwear Worn at the 2025 Met Gala

While there were many jaw-dropping ensembles exhibited on the 2025 Met Gala carpet today, certain stars took their looks to the next level with one accessory: A hat.

Stars such as Rihanna — who also revealed she is expecting her third baby with partner, A$AP Rocky — Diana Ross and Zendaya all finished off their high-fashion looks with equally compelling headwear. Snowfall actor Damson Idris even wowed spectators as he showed up in head-to-toe F1 racing gear, which included a helmet featuring 20,000 Swarovski crystals.

Needless to say, a lot of hats were front and center at the Metropolitan Museum of Art tonight. Below, see all the stars who rocked show-stopping headwear at the 2025 Met Gala.

Oh, Mother!

Rihanna shut down the Met Gala carpet by showing up in a gray Marc Jacobs bustier, which showcased her growing baby bump, and polished the look with a dramatic wide-brimmed hat by milliner Stephen Jones.

No Notes

Zendaya topped off her sleek, all-white Louis Vuitton three-piece with a matching face-covering hat.

Burnin’ Up

Black and white never looked so chic. Priyanka Chopra rounded off her polka-dotted ensemble with this open hat and equally stunning emerald necklace.

Serving Face

Obviously, the diva genes don’t fall far from the tree. Tracee Ellis Ross served face while waiting to walk the red carpet, minutes after her mother.

Peak-a-Boo

Kim Kardashian added an edgier touch to her leather ensemble with a western-inspired matching hat.

Perfect Pair

Debbie Allen and her husband, Norm Nixon topped off their red and white with equally corresponding hats.

Peace Out

Ava DuVernay kept her headdress nice and simple as she honored her late grandmother in this cinched Prada ensemble.

Surprise, Surprise

Damson Idris gave a nod to his upcoming film by showing up in a racing suit — helmet and all — before revealing the perfectly tailored red ensemble underneath.

Channeling Coco

This flat top hat was the cherry on top for BLACKPINK’s Jennie, who was dressed by Chanel.

Bright Star

Keke Palmer accessorized her fiery locs with this feathered headband.

Hometown Representing

Renowned director Spike Lee represented his home basketball team, the New York Knicks, as he walked the carpet.

On Point

Monica Barbaro looked oh-so-dandy in this cream hat featuring elegant black trim.

Mas Fotos

Bad Bunny looked handsome as ever and drew inspiration from his roots with this woven hat similar in style to a Puerto Rican pava.

Dripping in All-White

Kerry Washington also went the wide-brim route in this structural hat.

Smooth Operator

J Balvin looked ultra-cool in a powdery pink suit with a matching fedora.

Queen Things

Only Angela Bassett could pull off wearing a beanie to the Met Gala. The Black Panther actress looked regal in a velvet blue suit topped with an off-center hat that perfectly complemented her look.

Grand Trendsetter

He channeled dandyism long before it was a Met Gala theme, so it was only right that Andre 3000 upped the ante at tonight’s event. And while his bowl-shaped hat was understated, it was certainly hard to miss the grand piano on his back.

Understanding the Assignment

Another dandyism pioneer, Janelle Monáe’s playful hat was the perfect addition to her red, white and black Thom Browne ensemble.

Lady in Burgundy

Jodie Turner-Smith clearly knew she slayed in her custom Burberry as she smirked at the camera while got up the Met stairs.

A Wonderful Time

Stevie Wonder topped his all-black look in this kufi-style hat, embellished with a floral pin.

Unbeatable Drip

Alicia Keys brought her cool vibes to the Met Gala, wearing a pinstriped, off-the-shoulder top, perfected by a beaded headpiece.

All Grown Up

We had to do a double-take as Stranger Things actor Caleb McLaughlin looked all grown up and dapper in his fashion-forward ensemble, topped with a wide-brim hat.

Super Suave

Mirroring his laid-back persona, Jalen Hurts opted for a sleek all-black hat to top off his ultra-cool Met Gala outfit.

Easy, Breezy

Theater producer Jordan Roth paired his multilayered hat with a sly smize.
