An anonymous donor and a local Girl Scout partnered up to give 324 boxes of cookies to first responders in Georgia.
The sweet surprise was spearheaded by Senior Girl Scout and local high schooler Abigail Parham, reported The LaGrange Daily News.
“It's a small way to say thank you to the heroes who keep us safe every day,” Deanne Atcherson, Troop Leader of Troop 20792 in LaGrange told the outlet “We are incredibly proud of Abigail and grateful to the anonymous donor for their thoughtfulness and generosity."
"Our first responders work around the clock, and this is a wonderful pick-me-up for their teams," Atcherson added.
Unsurprisingly, the gesture was well received by the LaGrange Fire Department, the Troup County Sheriff's Office and the LaGrange Police Department.
“The LaGrange Fire Department is incredibly grateful for the thoughtful donation from Senior Girl Scout Abigail Parham of Girl Scout Troop 20792," LaGrange Fire Chief Willie Bradfield said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. "These cookies were shared across our fire stations, bringing a boost in morale to our crews who serve the community every day."

"Acts of kindness like this remind us that strong communities are built through support, generosity, and connection," Bradfield added. "We are grateful for this young leader making a difference in such a meaningful way.”
Troup County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Stewart Smith said they too felt "very grateful" for the sweet and generous surprise.
"We were able to distribute the boxes to several of our employees and it certainly made them smile," Smith said. "Many times for first responders the days and nights are long and its little things like this that bring a smile to our face."
