- Florence Pugh admitted “it’s not easy” to date her considering she is “always busy,” in a newly published cover interview for Harper’s Bazaar UK’s May 2025 issue
- The Thunderbolts* actress went on to say that asking someone to “just accept” it isn’t the answer, as “I’ll just end up alone. I don’t want that — I want a family”
- Pugh, who was previously in a years-long partnership with Zach Braff, revealed she was in a new relationship back in September 2024
Florence Pugh is self-admittedly a tough customer when it comes to scheduling in relationships.
“I’m more sympathetic to the people who are in love with me, because it’s not easy!” the Thunderbolts* star, 29, said in a new cover interview for Harper’s Bazaar UK’s May issue.
Her reasoning? “I’m tricky — I’m always busy, I can never make dates,” Pugh admitted.
“But,” continued the Academy Award nominee, “it’s not good enough for me to ask someone to just accept that. I’ll just end up alone. I don’t want that — I want a family.”

Pugh also reflected on how she has “worked back-to-back since I started” in the industry, admitting she has “missed so much” in her personal life as a result.
“I’ve now come to terms with things that I don’t like about myself and want to change,” the Little Women star added. “I don’t want to have things just happen to me any more.”
Pugh previously revealed to British Vogue in an October 2024 cover interview that she was dating someone, though she did not reveal their name.
“We are figuring what we actually are. And I think for the first time, I’m not allowing myself to go on a roller-coaster,” she said at the time. “I’m allowing myself to take time to let something evolve and let it be completely real to its core, as opposed to racing into that.”

Pugh previously dated Zach Braff from 2019 until 2022. The actress later revealed that she and Braff, 50, had quietly broken up, in a 2022 interview with Harper’s BAZAAR.
She was later spotted holding hands with Charlie Gooch during a Valentine’s Day excursion in London the following year.
Speaking with Harper’s Bazaar UK, the Midsommar actress reflected on a “scary break-up” she went through after her split from Braff, as she began filming 2024’s We Live in Time.
“I think that movie forced me to realize I can’t wait for people anymore. I can’t accept this version of love. I have to help myself,” Pugh said.
The May issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK is on sale beginning Thursday, April 17.
