Florence Pugh is on cloud nine about the positive reception for Thunderbolts*.
The 29-year-old actress expressed her excitement and gratitude for the love of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s newest installment — as well as its 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes — shortly ahead of its official release.
“The sleep is little but the FRESH Rotten Tomatoes score has us vibrating,” Pugh began the caption on her Instagram photo carousel, which began and ended with sultry snapshots of the actress rocking a leather ensemble for her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday, April 28.
Additional images showed off the Rotten Tomatoes Fresh rating, as well as a behind-the-scenes Kimmel photo of Pugh in her underwear and more casual shots solo and with friend Theo Smith.

“Thank you for the last few days,” Pugh continued. “We’ve been hiking, sucking smoothies, finding David’s, sitting in dinky doll cars, bottys getting ready for the premiere after Kimmel, Theo watching The Notebook on little sleep and weeping for hours and starfishing to that unforgettable view.”
“LA WE LOVED YOU,” the Oscar nominee concluded her caption.
Pugh electrified the red carpet in Los Angeles earlier this week, stepping out on Monday, April 28, in a mint-green gown from Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2025 Ready-to-Wear Collection.
Pugh has been turning heads during her Thunderbolts* press run. She previously hit up the London premiere of the film on April 22, wearing a daring black gown with a patterned lace tulle.

An official longline for Thunderbolts*, directed by Jake Schreier (Paper Towns), describes the movie as “an irreverent team-up featuring depressed assassin Yelena Belova (Pugh) alongside the MCU’s least anticipated band of misfits.”
Pugh and David Harbour reprise their Black Widow roles of Yelena and Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, respectively, while the film also features Marvel characters Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), John Walker/U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) and Ava Starr/Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen).
Additionally, the cast includes Lewis Pullman as Sentry, Geraldine Viswanathan in an undisclosed role and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross from Captain America: Brave New World. Julia Louis-Dreyfus also returns to the MCU as her character Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
Thunderbolts* is in theaters Friday, May 2.
