Fran Drescher honored her character in The Nanny in a special way at her Walk of Fame ceremony.

On Tuesday, Sept. 30, Drescher, 68, arrived at the ceremony in Hollywood, Calif. wearing a leopard print dress in tribute to her iconic character Fran Fine from the hit ’90s sitcom.

Drescher paired her fitted mid-length dress with matching pumps and finished off the look with bold red lipstick as she was honored at the ceremony, which took place on her 68th birthday.

Drescher’s character in The Nanny wore several statement leopard print looks on the show, and her character became a style icon during the series’ run. The sitcom was created by Drescher and her ex-husband, Peter Marc Jacobson, and ran from 1993 to 1999.

At the ceremony, Drescher was supported by her The Nanny costars Nicholle Tom, who played Margaret ‘Maggie’ Sheffield, and Madeline Zima, who played Gracie Sheffield.

Zima, 40, shared a touching tribute to Drescher while acknowledging her striking outfit in a speech at the ceremony.

“Fran Drescher is not just a household name — she is the household. She’s the glamorous aunt, the no-nonsense mom, the best friend who tells you when your outfit needs a little more leopard print, and the neighbor whose laugh you can hear through the drywall,” she said.

“When The Nanny first hit our screens in the ’90s, she didn’t just change television; she redecorated it,” Zima continued. “Suddenly, the working-class Jewish women from Queens, they weren’t side characters anymore. They were the stars. They were smart. They were sexy. They were hilarious — and they wore Bob Mackie.”
