The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree — another Eastwood wants to go into showbiz.
“My son spent his fifth birthday on set of Clawfoot actually. That was really cool because they got him a Transformers cake and he got to come visit and he was just really fascinated by it,” Francesca Eastwood exclusively told Us Weekly. “He’s got this crazy understanding of film.”
Francesca, 31, and her son, Titan, who recently turned 6, bond over watching Francesca’s dad and Titan’s grandpa Clint Eastwood’s movies. The iconic director is known for films like American Sniper, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Unforgiven and more.
“[Titan] loves watching his old movies, he loves the Dirty Harry movies. And it’s great because a lot of them I haven’t seen, so I get to kind of watch some of these movies that I never saw because we never sat down and watched them growing up. We watched his new stuff,” Francesca said.
“Now he wants to be a director,” she added of Titan, “and he understands what shots are and what everyone’s roles are and camera angles. To see him have this understanding at such a young age, and this curiosity that I’m definitely trying to feed into as much as possible, is really fun.”

From almost quitting the entertainment industry to becoming an Academy Award-winning director and actor, Clint Eastwood has come a long way in his career. Eastwood was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1950 and discharged in 1953. He was stationed at Fort Ord in California and almost lost his life when the Douglas AD Bomber plane ran out of […]
Titan and Clint, 94, have a “lovely relationship,”with Francesca saying, “He’s at the age where he’s starting to realize maybe that grandpa’s a little extra special to other people.”
With Eastwood as a last name, it’s only natural to follow in those filmmaking footsteps. Francesca has her own impressive movie credits appearing in M. Night Shyamalan’s Old, starring in 2016’s Outlaws and Angels, and most recently appearing in Clawfoot alongside Olivia Culpo.
Her half-brother Scott Eastwood is also an actor, known for The Longest Ride and Gran Torino (directed by Clint).
As a mom, Francesca will fully support her son if he wants to go into the entertainment industry.
“I think that if he wants to explore that or if he wants to do that absolutely I would encourage that. Would I want to be like a showbiz mom trying to push him into it? No. My parents didn’t do that with me and I am grateful for that, and I wouldn’t want to do that to him,” the actress told Us of Clint and her mom, Titanic star Frances Fisher. “I do think the industry has changed a lot … I think the child stars of today are turning out a lot less haunted.”

Carrie Underwood, Beyoncé and Emily Blunt have all shown their pregnant bellies at awards shows. “If he wants to be an athlete, he can be an athlete. If he wants to be a scientist, he can be a scientist. Whatever he wants,” Francesca added.
Francesca has seemingly learned from her dad, who she said has been “the most supportive” parent to her.
“[Clint] is very good about giving me advice, but letting me find my own path and make my own decisions, and whether those are good decisions or bad decisions, he’s really let me kind of grow in that sense,” she explained.
Francesca said the most challenging part of motherhood is coparenting with Titan’s dad, Alexander Wraith, and finding the time to support each other’s careers while also making sure one of them is around to take care of their son.
“We’re getting there,” Francesca said about the dynamic she shares with her former partner. “There’s always room for improvement.”
