Batman is arguably one of the most iconic superheroes of all time, and several lucky stars have sported the caped crusader’s iconic outfit.
George Clooney, Michael Keaton and Val Kilmer are part of a growing list of actors who have stepped into the dual role of billionaire Bruce Wayne/Batman. Lewis Wilson was the first to don the suit for 1943’s Batman, followed by Robert Lowery in The New Adventures of Batman & Robin in 1949.
Christian Bale’s performance as Batman in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight franchise remains one of the most iconic versions of the character. Ben Affleck succeeded Bale by portraying Batman in several movies throughout the DC Extended Universe before the film franchise was rebooted under new DC Studios head James Gunn.
2023’s The Flash featured not one, but three versions of Batman. Keaton’s Batman teamed up with Ezra Miller’s Flash and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl, while Affleck and George Clooney made brief appearances as the superhero.
