Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner were "written in the stars," according to Barrett.
On Thursday, April 2, Barrett, 26, shared an unreleased love song titled “Young” on her Instagram. The country song chronicles the early days of her relationship with Foehner, 29, when people would tell them they were too young to get married.
“I got married when I was 19,” the country singer said as she introduced the song. “I never released this song. It’s called ‘Young.’ So here you go.”

“Young, everyone says we’re too young / Supposed to be single and dancing with strangers, waiting on tables / Just starting out, having fun,” Barrett sings while strumming the guitar. “They say we should just take our time, slow it down / But I didn’t mean to need you like the air that I’m breathing / Baby, you didn’t plan on me now.”
“And we don’t care / They call us crazy / Hey, maybe we are / Yeah, we are,” she croons. “‘Cause crazy’s how we love / It must be written in the stars / So, what if we are too young?”
In her Instagram caption, Barrett wrote, “This wasn’t the ‘smart choice.’ But 8 years later.. @cadefoehner ❤️.” Foehner commented, “It’s the ride of a lifetime.”

The pair first met when they were contestants on American Idol in 2018 and fell in love. A year after their season ended, Barrett and Foehner announced their engagement.
The musicians tied the knot on Oct. 5, 2019, in Garrison, Texas, after a year of dating. At the time, Barrett was 19 and Foehner was 21.
"We thought, 'What's the point in waiting years and years if we already know we're going to be committed to each other forever?' So may forever start now," Barrett told PEOPLE in 2019. "It is a blessing to find a husband or wife in this life. Marriage is a profound and special thing, and we are so excited to finally be husband and wife."
Barrett and Foehner now share three children: daughter Baylah May, 5, son Augustine Boone, 3, and daughter Ivy Josephine, 2.
"Our third baby arrived earth side early this morning, at home," Barrett captioned an Instagram post announcing the birth of her third child. "Another life to love and cherish. Praising God for His kindness!"
