Hollywood “It” couple George Clooney and Amal Clooney weren’t afraid to show their affections while walking the 2025 Tony Awards red carpet.
The pair hit the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 8, in honor of Broadway’s biggest night, in style — to the surprise of no one. But it was their PDA-filled moments that had fans wide-eyed, including one touching exchange between the married couple caught by the cameras.
In one snap, the human rights lawyer can be seen lovingly kissing her actor husband as he clings to her waist. Amal gently cradled George’s face during their smooch. In a slew of other photos, the couple could be seen snuggling close or holding hands as they made their way inside for the night’s festivities.
George, who is nominated for best performance by a leading actor for his role in the timely Good Night, and Good Luck, wore a classic tuxedo for the evening. It was Amal, however, who truly stunned in an opulent, body-skimming white dress featuring a corset-like bodice and thousands of pearls, along with Roger Vivier pumps.

The strapless, mermaid-style gown also featured a string of pearls that were elegantly draped across her arms. The lawyer chose to accessorize the look with a small, matching pearl-like clutch and white pumps.
While she shined on the red carpet, Amal was unable to attend opening night of her husband’s play. George explained Amal’s absence in April, telling reporters she was “with the kids.” (George and Amal wed in 2014, going on to welcome their twins Alexander and Ella in 2017.)
While the family did not attend opening night, they have all relocated to New York City while George takes the Broadway stage.
“How do you not like the city? They love being here [and] we’re having a really fun time,” George said on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in February. “Actually, a play is kind of a good schedule because you’re working at night and you get to see the kids during the day, so it’s OK.”
A source exclusively told Us Weekly in March that the married couple were equally excited about living in New York.

“George and Amal have been loving being in NYC,” the insider explained. “They usually don’t spend that much time in the city so they have a lot of people they have been seeing. They both go to work during the day, and the twins are here with them too.”
Per the insider, George and the human rights lawyer have also “hosted a few dinner parties for friends” while in the city.
“They are very much a couple who enjoys more private date nights,” the source added.
