Gordon Ramsay is back on the hunt to save another restaurant from closure and this time, he’s not happy.
In PEOPLE’s exclusive preview of the upcoming episode of Fox’s Kitchen Nightmares airing Tuesday, Feb. 25, the celebrity chef heads down to The Grumpy George Pub & Grub in Georgetown, Texas.
According to its website, the restaurant prides itself on serving “the finest British cuisine in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.”

“Our menu features classic dishes like fish and chips, shepherd’s pie and bangers and mash, as well as more modern dishes with a British twist. We use only the freshest ingredients, locally sourced whenever possible, and our talented chefs prepare each dish to perfection,” the website adds.
When it came to Ramsay’s visit, however, he was anything but satisfied.
PEOPLE’s preview clip shows the television personality chowing down on a vegetarian dish that he said was “terrible.”
After Ramsay asks why it’s “so watery,” one of the restaurant staff members tells him, “It’s because of the mushrooms, maybe.”
“Is it supposed to be vegetarian?” Ramsey asks with a concerned look on his face.
“Yeah, it should be,” the restaurant worker responds, causing Ramsey to point out a critical issue with the plate.
“Are they serving bacon with the [broussel] sprouts?” the famed chef asks before immediately returning the plate to the restaurant worker.
The clip ends with Ramsay cursing before texting someone that in “moments like this” he really misses their cooking.
Kitchen Nightmares originally ran from 2007 to 2014 and then returned after nearly a decade in 2023.
As for what initially made Ramsay want to cancel the show, he recalled an experience he had while filming that spurred his decision in a 2018 interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“I canceled my own show on Fox, Kitchen Nightmares. I woke up in the middle of the south of France after filming a week with a British guy I wouldn’t trust to run my bath, let alone my restaurant,” Ramsay shared at the time.
“Because he was running a ski resort, he felt like he could take advantage of all those customers because there was nowhere else to eat,” he continued. “He was giving me s— for telling him the truth and I thought, ‘I’m done.’ “
