Family bonds are strong, but sometimes a little friendly competition is all it takes to spark some real creativity.
Meet Grandma Llama, a spirited woman who, after a visit to her daughter’s house, decided to take matters into her own hands when she noticed her granddaughter, Heavenly, paying more attention to a popular YouTuber than to her.
What did she do? She didn’t sulk. Instead, she was motivated to make her own videos filled with a whole lot of love.
It all started during Christmas break when Grandma Llama flew in from Florida to visit her daughter, Tresure, and her family. Upon arrival, she was expecting to be showered with attention by her 1-year-old granddaughter, but that was not the case.
Instead, Heavenly was completely captivated by videos from Ms. Rachel, a beloved YouTuber who teaches educational content to young children. It was clear – Grandma was no longer the star of the show.

“She didn’t pay her any mind,” Tresure tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I thought it was nothing but hilarious when she sent me the video and told me she planned on making more.”
Grandma’s response to being upstaged wasn’t what one might expect — it wasn’t jealousy, but inspiration.
“I wanted to bridge the gap of distance and continue to sustain a bond with my grandbaby,” Grandma Llama explains. “And she seemed to really enjoy video content from Ms. Rachel, so I decided to get creative and create fun, engaging videos like some of her favorite online stars.”
The animated videos featuring Grandma Llama’s face are filled with music and whimsical fun, all while being educational. From teaching basic shapes to running through the alphabet, the videos have definitely caught Heavenly’s attention.
“Heavenly loved it because she knew it was her grandma,” Tresure says.
However, after seeing how successful her videos were with her granddaughter, Grandma Llama decided to expand her reach to social media for other children to enjoy as well.
“Heavenly becomes engaged and claps along with my Grandma Llama videos, and so do many other children now that I’ve created my @FairyGodMuvaKids page and shared them with children and families globally,” Grandma Llama tells PEOPLE. “I’ve received tons of special requests.”
What started as a way for a determined grandpa to stay close to her granddaughter has blossomed into a fun, playful, and engaging platform for families everywhere.
“I have dedicated a whole brand to creating fun family content based on preschool fairytales and fun time and early childhood education,” Grandma Llama adds. “And I will continue to make specific content exclusively for my Heavenly Pudding.”
