Camilla Luddington is teeing up her summer plans as a busy mom.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the Grey's Anatomy star, 42, shared how she plans to keep her two kids — she shares daughter Hayden, 9, and son Lucas, 5, with husband Matthew Alan — busy during their summer vacation from school.
"Oh God, the dreaded summer entertainment," Luddington joked when asked about her family's plans. "It's going to be a lot of sports — that's the truth. We haven't planned a summer vacation yet, but definitely a lot of T-ball, softball and us sitting on the sidelines."
As for how she will keep her kids fueled for all of their summer adventures, the actress — who is partnering with Gerber to promote their Get'ems! Squeezies line of fruit and veggie pouches — said the go-to snacks are already in their "daily rotation" and what Hayden and Lucas are "grabbing every day."

She shared that she freezes the pouches and brings them in a cooler on ice to the kids' games because they "always want ice cream" afterwards. "They're kids and they're hot. So this has been a lifesaver," she explained.
"Also, listen, I do know that I could throw them a bag of donuts and they'd be excited, but I don't have mom guilt over this," she continued, noting that the pouches don't contain added sugar and are made from "real" fruits and veggies. "And so for me, I'm a little type B. I don't always have the right things. This is perfect grab-and-go."
Back in 2023, Luddington spoke to NewBeauty about how she balances motherhood with her long days on the set of Grey's Anatomy. She has played Jo Wilson on the ABC medical drama since 2012.

“We have two or three months off in between seasons, so that’s really special with my kids. But it’s tricky,” she told the outlet at the time. “You learn as you go, and it’s different every year and every age because they change so much and they need different things. So I’m still learning what that balance looks like.”

Luddington has also had to navigate a recent health diagnosis that has impacted her daily life.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the 2025 Inspiration Awards in Los Angeles last year, she revealed that she was diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder Hashimoto’s disease.
“I got the diagnosis at the beginning of summer, so I'm fresh into this journey," she said at the time. "I am on Levothyroxine, which is a thyroid medicine, and I can tell you that a lot of things have changed."

Luddington shared how a new workout regimen was helping her reduce inflammation in her body.
“I was very puffy all the time, not knowing why I was exhausted," she explained. "I was not working out. I hadn't seen a workout class in years, and I'm back at Barry's bootcamp lifting weights. So I feel more myself. I feel like I have more energy for work, for my family."
Added the star: "It feels like a lot of self-care at this point, just avoiding gluten and all these things that I'm sort of learning.”
