Cavinder could be seen standing in front of a white floral backdrop in a beach setting. While Ferguson, 26, was not visible in the photo, ESPN confirmed he was the one holding her hand.
He also made an appearance in a TikTok posted on the account Cavinder shares with her twin sister Hanna.
The video begins with Ferguson mouthing along to the words of Future’s song “Low Life,” in which he says “Sniper, sniper, sniper, sniper, sniper.”
As the song proceeds to the next line, “Wifey, wifey, wifey, wifey, wifey,” Cavinder appears on screen to hug Ferguson and once again showcases her ring.
Hanna seemingly played a role in the surprise proposal as they showed off their outfits for what was supposed to be a dinner in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., in a second TikTok.
“OOTN (my twin doesn’t know she’s getting engaged),” a text placed over the video read.
Cavinder and Ferguson have been dating since 2023, per Fox News and Sports Illustrated. In September 2024, Cavinder marked their one-year anniversary by sharing photos of the two on Instagram, writing, “a year with Ferg.”
Ferguson also marked the occasion by writing his own Instagram tribute to Cavinder, which read, “A year with my Shorty! Life with you is so much better. Would headbutt anyone for you❤️ #Terminal.”
The engagement comes a month after Cavinder announced on Instagram that she was officially stepping away from basketball.
“18 years later, and it’s time to say goodbye to the game I’ve loved since I was six. Thank you for an amazing basketball career. Nothing will ever fill the void of you or the feeling of accomplishing my dream—playing the sport I love with my twin by my side,” her post read.
