Halle Berry is standing her ground.
After the X-Men actress, 58, sparked controversy with a video of her and boyfriend Van Hunt, 55, in bed celebrating Mother’s Day, she spoke out about the backlash she faced.
“Other women got in their feelings and [said], ‘Was it right for her to be in her bed, talking about spinning with her man?’” Halle explained to Jenna Bush Hager on the June 4 episode of Today With Jenna & Friends. “And they were saying, ‘Should she be talking about that on Mother’s Day? Shouldn’t she be with her kids somewhere?’”
And Halle, mom to Nahla Ariela Aubry, 17, with ex Gabriel Aubry, and Maceo-Robert Martinez, 11, with ex-husband Olivier Martinez, didn’t hold back with her response. “First of all, it’s not Kids’ Day,” she continued. “It’s called Mother’s Day. Kids’ Day is every day for years. That’s my day, and if I want to be in bed and spin with my man, then that’s what I’m gonna do.”
