To the world, Chad Michael Murray is an early aughts icon and a Hollywood heartthrob, but to his three kids, he’s simply Dad!

The actor, who turns 45 on Aug. 24, 2026, welcomed his first child, a son, with wife Sarah Roemer in 2015. They rounded out their family with two daughters, born in 2017 and 2023, and although the couple tends to keep their personal life private, they occasionally share glimpses into their home life on social media.

For the One Tree Hill alum, fatherhood is “the greatest thing that’s ever happened” to him.

“Having kids is just, it’s a game changer,” he explained to Entertainment Tonight in 2016. “I think you’re always walking around with the mentality that you want to make sure that they’re proud and represent them well. Just be a great leader.”
