Heidi Klum is already putting in work to maintain her title as the Queen of Halloween for yet another year.
The 52-year-old Project Runway host has held an annual Halloween bash for more than two decades. Each year, she’s kept her costume a secret until the grand reveal on the red carpet — and it’s become a trend for her to one-up her previous looks.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Wednesday, Aug. 6, Klum confirmed that “of course” she would be doing the same this year.
“I’m hard at work already,” she said, adding that planning the party and her ensemble had started “months ago.”

And what is she dressing up as this year? Klum didn’t give away too much, but she said that she would be “extra ugly” and “super scary.”
She also opted out of revealing whether it would be a couple’s costume with husband Tom Kaulitz at the moment. However, it won’t be too long until fans get to see the completed look.
“We have exactly 86 days,” she said.
“Hopefully you come on before then just so you can give us a little hint or come on after and show us,” host Jimmy Fallon said, prompting his guest to promise she’d “give [him] another hint later.”
Klum also reflected on some of her previous looks, which have included dressing as an old woman, Jessica Rabbit, a peacock and even a clone of herself.
Presented with a photo of her costume in 2000, Klum described the outfit as “very boring.”
“I was like, ‘Okay, I’m Heidi. I’m gonna do a Heidi-themed [costume],” she recalled, adding that she pulled it all together herself.
“I didn’t know anyone at the time who [did], like, special-effects makeup,” Klum continued. “Over the years, I met amazing people, and they help me now because they put, like, prosthetics on me.”
Last year, Klum and husband Kaulitz, 35, dressed up as E.T., which the supermodel said that she “loved.” It did come with some challenges, though.
“It was so heavy, holding that head on my head,” she said, explaining that the large costume was heavy and unbalanced.
“I thought my neck was gonna snap off,” she joked.
Two years prior, Klum dressed up as a worm and infamously posed while lying on the ground. It turns out that costume also presented a challenge, with her saying, “I couldn’t get back up.”
