Helen Hunt and boyfriend Jeffrey Nordling go way back.
The 61-year-old actress opened up in an interview with The Flow Space about her relationship with Nordling, 63, including the fact the two dated decades back.
“We dated in 1988!” the Twisters actress shared. “I’ve never really talked about that. And I always thought he was lovely and sweet and talented and dreamy.”
Hunt continued that the two have “had very different lives for decades, and then, in some crazy way, found each other again.”
Hunt and Nordling — who both starred in the 1988 TV movie Shooter — debuted their relationship while hitting the red carpet for the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s 20th Anniversary Gala honoring Frank Gehry at the city’s Walt Disney Concert Hall in 2023.
The two had previously appeared on one another’s Instagram accounts as far back as May 2022, when the Big Little Lies actor posted a snapshot of himself and Hunt at Dodger Stadium, with a group that included Camryn Manheim and Billie Jean King.
On April 6, Nordling shared a photo of Hunt bundled up in a jacket and scarf, noting in the caption that it was the actress’ first trip to the Grand Canyon.

The Mad About You alum previously dated Matthew Carnahan, whom she split from in 2017 after 16 years together, Entertainment Tonight reported. The two share daughter Makena Lei, 18.
Nordling was previously married to actress Francia Dimase and the two share three daughters, according to his IMDb biography.
