Jason Kelce and Kylie Kelce went through a lot of discussions before naming all four of their daughters.
The retired Philadelphia Eagles center and Kylie have been married since 2018 and welcomed eldest daughter Wyatt Elizabeth the following year. Daughter Elliotte “Ellie” Ray and Bennett “Bennie” Llewellyn followed in 2021 and 2023, respectively. The Kelce brood was rounded out by Finnley “Finn” Anne in March 2025, who nearly arrived home from the hospital without a moniker of her own.
“We had to fill out a birth certificate paperwork. Well, you can technically leave without it, but we wouldn’t remember to fill out the f***in’ paperwork after that,” Kylie said on an episode of husband Jason’s “New Heights” podcast two days later. “We have to do it when we know.”
At the time, Kylie quipped that Jason also “refused to let” her name baby No. 4 “just Finn.”

evin Mazur/Getty Images Kylie Kelce is coming clean about why she wanted to expand her family with husband Jason Kelce. The podcaster and mom-of-three joked on the Thursday, December 19, episode of her “Not Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce” podcast that she settled on four kids because “I really like even numbers.” During an interview […]
“I’m deada**,” Kylie stated.
Keep scrolling to see how Jason and Kylie picked names for their four daughters — and which monikers didn’t make the final cut:
A ‘Gender-Neutral’ Theme
When it came to picking a name for Finn, Jason and Kylie wanted to keep up the tradition they started with their eldest three kids.
“I feel like we have to lean a little bit towards those sort of gender-neutral names for our fourth,” Kylie said on her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast in January 2025. “Because we have Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett — so if we do a full commit to a girly name at this point, it would not sit well with the other three, I think? Eventually, they’ll be like, ‘Why did they get a cute girly name?’”
‘Back to the Archives’ for Baby No. 4
On an April 2025 episode of her podcast, Kylie revealed that Finn was unnamed for 24 hours.
“It was a journey. We had discussed names with anyone that we could trust to not share names,” she said. “We didn’t go with a single option that we had been discussing. So there’s that.”
Finnley, spelled with two N’s, has a middle name, Anne, that is a tribute to her maternal grandmother, aunt and cousin. It is also a nod to Annie Elliott, Kylie’s friend and the wife of Eagles kicker Jack Elliott.
“I swear, the only thing I had [before we got discharged] was her middle name and it’s the most generic,” she said on the podcast, noting other contenders for the first name included Colette “Cole,” Georgie and Winifred, the latter which wouldn’t have paid tribute to the family’s late dog because the baby would have been called “Freddie” for short.
According to Kylie, she “didn’t like anything that got us to Georgie,” which eliminated that from contention.
“She’s very much a Finn 1743730473,” Kylie gushed, adding she and Jason were “bouncing back and forth” between Finnley and Elliotte for their second daughter. “Considering we had to name four children with the same gender, we had to run it back to the archives and borrow one from a different child, and that’s what we did.”

Kylie Kelce offered some insight into her and husband Jason Kelce’s decision to stick with gender-neutral names for baby No. 4. “Going on the 4th [child], it’s like a disaster [picking a name],” Kylie, 32, said during the Thursday, January 9, episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, while discussing potential names for her and […]
Rejected Options
Kylie gave fans a glimpse at other names she and Jason rejected for Finn during a January 2025 podcast episode.
“When you suggest a baby name, think of the nicknames that would then go along with that name,” Kylie said. “I know a lot of great Garys but I cannot name my daughter Garrett knowing that her nickname would be Gary.”
Kylie also denied that her fourth baby would be named Merritt because of a potential “Merry” nickname.
“I like Christmas but I don’t need to feel Merry,” she quipped. “There’s a good chance that this child doesn’t even get two Ts. People are very invested in this, but I just feel like a curveball might be fun. And also, we’ve run out, I think. … If we don’t have two Ts, it’s OK and she’s still one of us.”
Movie Inspiration
While interviewing Kate Hudson on her podcast in March 2025, Kylie revealed that Andie (a nod to Hudson’s How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days character) was a contender.
“Not gonna lie, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is one of my favorite movies of all-time, but absolutely my favorite rom-com,” Kylie said. “We’ve even considered Andie as a name for our fourth girl. … We were like, ‘Andie would fit in there and it would be so cool.’ It’s funny, I actually met someone at a pool and we were talking about girl names and they said that they named their daughter Anderson as in ‘Andie Anderson’ and call her Andie.”
A Super Tribute
Kylie was pregnant with Bennett at the 2023 Super Bowl when Jason’s team played his brother Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs. In honor of the athletic milestone, the Kelce brothers wanted to name the baby Super if she was born during the big game.
“That was not going to happen, but I told [Jason] we could do SB as initials,” Kylie said on the September 2023 episode of the “New Heights” podcast. “We were considering Scottie Bennett, which is also a very cute name.”
Since Bennett arrived a week after the Chiefs won, Jason and Kylie opted not to follow through on the SB plan.
