How John Cena Made History at WrestleMania 41

John Cena has gained a new gold belt.

The WWE icon won his final Wrestlemania 41 face-off against Cody Rhodes on April 20, earning him the historic title as a 17-time world champion. And with this competition holding such high stakes, John had a few surprises up his sleeve.

The Suicide Squad actor, 47, and his opponent didn’t hold back during their Las Vegas match-off. Their tense fight hit a new level when Cody, 39, knocked John into the referee, causing him to fall down for a few seconds. As Cody helped the referee to his feet, John came in for the kill and exchanged a few low blows with him. And right as he tried to pin Cody down for the win, Travis Scott made an unexpected appearance at the end of the stage.

Travis, who shares daughter Stormi, 7, with Kylie Jenner, then stepped inside the ring to face-off with Cody, but his time was cut pretty short. Cody hit the “Fein” rapper with a Cross Rhodes—his infamous move where he rolls his opponent over their head and to the ground—before he aimed his attention back to John, who ultimately secured the title by successfully pinning Cody down.
