Ilana Glazer’s 3-Year-Old Daughter Has Strong Opinions About Her Mom’s Hair: ‘Take It Down! Zhuzh It!’ (Exclusive)

Ilana Glazer’s 3-year-old daughter knows what she likes and what she doesn’t — including when it comes to her mom’s style!

Glazer sat down with Makho Ndlovu for the Jan. 16 episode of PEOPLE in 10 to discuss her latest standup special and her goals for 2025.

During the conversation, the Babes star revealed that her daughter has ideas for how her mom should style her hair. “She [tells] me to take my hair down because her hair is curly and she likes when our hair matches,” Glazer, 37, explains. “It will be up. She says, ‘Take it down! Take it down!’ And then she goes, ‘Zhuzh it!’ “

“I’m like, you’re telling me to zhuzh my hair? I’ve been zhuzhing my hair since before you were born, dude,” she continues with a laugh.

The Broad City co-creator also shared that her daughter is already exhibiting a “very creative” spirit. “She’s making jokes, she’s dancing. She’s very creative. Her spirit is very creative. Very alive,” she says.

Glazer tells PEOPLE that she was able to plan her recent standup tour, Ilana Glazer: Human Magic, around family time with her husband David Rooklin and their daughter — which she says made it one of the best professional experiences of her life.

“The process for me for making my latest standup special, Human Magic, was the most fun I’ve ever had doing standup,” she said. “I was able to create my tour — organize [it] around my family.”

“You know, standup typically happens on the weekends,” the comedian explains. “And, like, that’s the time that I reconned with my family. So my husband and I were talking about it, and I was like, ‘You don’t understand! It has to be Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays!’ He was like, ‘What if it’s Thursdays and Fridays?’ And I was like, ‘You’re a genius. You’re a genius!’ That’s how I planned the tour.”

“I performed in 48 cities, 52 shows and took my time doing it,” she continues. “And it made the standup, I think, the funniest standup I’ve ever done. And I had the most fun I ever had [because] I really wanted to be there every single show that I did.”

While speaking exclusively to PEOPLE in April, the actress noted that she is in a “very fortunate position” when it comes to motherhood, describing the experience as “mind-blowing.”

“I mean, it’s incredibly hard, but no complaints for sure,” she added.

Glazer also admitted that she sometimes needs to remind herself to accept parenting help from her community at times.

“There’s a real community [for working moms] now and there’s so much visibility about it. and I have to remember to take it. I have trouble taking help where there is help,” she said.

Ilana Glazer: Human Magic is streaming on Hulu.
