Damiano Alberti, an Italian content creator, died three years after sharing his cancer diagnosis. He was 23.
“Damiano is free from everything he has experienced,” his family wrote in a Feb. 16 Instagram post sharing the news of his death. “A part of us has flown away forever.”
Alberti maintained a combined following of over 75,000 people across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitch, where he was known for sharing lifestyle content.
The content creator first revealed in a post in May 2023 that he had been diagnosed with a malignant tumor in his leg, sharing that he had started a treatment plan. Alberti continued to open up about his diagnosis and treatment the following March, uploading a YouTube video titled “365 Days Later – The Story of My Illness,” in which he detailed how he learned he had cancer and his chemotherapy treatments.

In September 2025, Alberti made a follow-up video, sharing updates from his cancer journey. In the video, he shared that he had struggled with his mental health as doctors gave him disheartening updates about his health over the past year.
“I had become, let’s say, a morbid person with no goals, nothing of my own to pursue,” he candidly shared at the time.
Later that month, Alberti, who regularly went live on Twitch during his cancer treatments, shared that he had been hospitalized and would not be able to make regular content. Several days later, he revealed that he had left the hospital “without being able to complain too much about the results.”
In their post sharing the news of his death, the late influencer’s family thanked his followers for “always supporting and respecting him.”
“He loved his entire community and was proud of what he had managed to build,” the post concluded.
