  • Following the event, she faced criticism for her red-carpet conduct, with one TikTok user saying she “looked cracked out”
  • Clinton replied to the comment in a TikTok video and addressed the claims, saying, “I hate when people spread untrue things about me”

Indy Clinton is addressing claims about her appearance at the 2025 TikTok Awards.

The influencer, 28, attended the social media platform’s awards show on Nov. 26 in Sydney, Australia, and faced criticism for her red-carpet conduct.

One TikTok user commented on Clinton’s video, “U literally looked cracked out on the carpet at tt awards girl!” Clinton later posted a video response on Nov. 27, saying that while she doesn’t “usually address things like this,” she wanted to “stand up” for herself.

“I hate when people spread untrue things about me,” she added, before explaining, “There is a video going around of me on the red carpet at the TikTok Awards because of the way I was acting, I guess.”

She then said she would provide “context” for viewers, sharing, “I had been working every day and every night for the last two weeks, so I’m extremely tired. Overwhelmed tired. Burnt out.”

The social media star told her 2 million TikTok followers that she arrived at the awards “super late,” with only a few minutes left until the red carpet was shut down. “They really wanted to rush me through because the awards were about to start.”

Clinton added that in one of the videos, viewers “can hear the photographers fighting with each other” because they all had different instructions for her. “Then they start fighting in front of me, that’s why I go, ‘I feel so wanted.’ Because it was so awkward.”

“That’s why I look so frantic,’ she explained. “I had no idea who to look at and where.”

Clinton then revealed that, due to her arrival time, she only did two interviews before taking posed photos on the red carpet. One of the interviewers asked her, “What’s your Wabi-Sabi?” The Japanese phrase has gone viral on TikTok as users post imperfect and flawed things they find beautiful and charming.

However, Clinton said she wasn’t aware of the phrase. So when the interviewer said they’re embracing their tooth, Clinton pointed to her nose, and said, “In my head I’m not mentioning this,” seemingly in reference to her nose job that was met with harsh criticism in July.

“I don’t want to talk about that. I’ve just spent all afternoon getting ready. I feel good. I didn’t want to talk about it,” she recalled. “There are so many other things we can talk about.” She then shared how she offered up her “off-center middle part” as her “Wabi-Sabi.”

Clinton said she was “really” thrown off after the interviewer replied, “I thought you were gonna say your nose.”

As Clinton concluded her video, she said, “I really was just overwhelmed. Then I was like, ‘I don’t want to be here.’ ”

Earlier this year, the Australian influencer underwent a nose job, and fielded some hate from critics. In response to one video from May, several TikTok users expressed opinions suggesting Clinton’s surgery was a mistake.

Months later, in a July TikTok video, she revealed that she didn’t get her desired results, and only asked for “minor, minor tweaks.”

Clinton said she loved her natural “Mediterranean nose,” but after a surfboard hit her in 2020, she sought a few subtle fixes before going under the knife.

She concluded the video by reiterating that she didn’t choose her new look, and she didn’t “lie” to her fans about the process. Ultimately, however, she is keeping a positive outlook on the situation. “Onwards and upwards, as they say. Onwards and upwards,” she said.
