Influencer Paola Caldera died from leukemia, her family shared last week. She was 30.

“Today we bid farewell to a being who illuminated our lives with her strength, her love and her wisdom, even in the most difficult moments,” Caldera’s family wrote in a post on her TikTok account.

The post continued: “Leukemia may have contained her physical presence, but never the mark she left on our hearts. We are left with her example of courage, her infinite goodness and the memories that will always accompany us. Rest in peace, such a caldera your light will continue to shine in each of us.”

The creator, who had over 104,000 followers on her TikTok account, documented her life with her partner and two kids, ages 3 and 8. The earliest post on her account, a vlog of her going on a Walmart shopping run with one of her kids, dates back to May 2023.

At the end of 2024, Caldera revealed to her followers that she had been recently diagnosed with leukemia after visiting the hospital for a headache that wouldn’t go away for multiple days.

“Here we are facing God’s challenges, we are doing well and we will continue like this!” wrote the influencer in the post. “I thank you all for your nice messages and this coming new year I will continue to inform you of my health.”

Over the next nine months, Caldera continued to share her treatment journey with her followers, posting videos from the hospital. In June, she posted an update to her TikTok, saying that she was able to return home after she was hospitalized for “quite some time.”

Earlier in September, however, her family shared that Caldera had died.

“Daughter of my life I will remember you with the best smile and above all the will to live for your children is not a goodbye but a see you later❤️🕊️” wrote her family on her TikTok account. The bio of her account was also changed to read, “TikTok in memory of a beloved sister, daughter, and mother. I love you, sister. May God bless you.”
