Zac Brown and Kendra Scott were going strong long before their red carpet debut.
Although the couple confirmed their romance at the 2025 American Music Awards in Las Vegas on Monday, May 26, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the pair have been getting to know each other in private for a few months now.
“We’ve all known them for such a long time and honestly, we’ve never seen them like this before,” a source close to the couple shared with Us.
The country singer, 46, and jewelry designer, 51, were first introduced by a mutual friend and quickly bonded over a shared sense of purpose. According to the source, both Brown and Scott are deeply committed to giving back and being family focused.

While Brown has five children with his ex-wife Kelly Yazdi, Scott shares adult sons Cade and Beck with ex John Scott and a younger son, Grey, with ex Matt Davis.
“That shared family value has been a big part of their connection,” the source explained to Us. “They’re not just partners — they’re teammates.”
Both parties are making it a priority to stay connected and make time for one another.
As Kendra continues running her namesake jewelry brand from her hometown in Austin, Texas, Brown is currently touring with the Zac Brown Band. Brown also makes his work with Camp Southern Ground a priority while Kendra is dedicated to causes like childhood literacy and women’s empowerment.
According to the source, Brown has been spending a lot of time in Austin while Kendra has been flying to Atlanta to see the country singer on his days off.
“Kendra has [also] flown to many of Zac’s shows on the band’s current 2025 tour,” the source added.
On Monday night, both Brown and Kendra were together at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas Resort for the 2025 American Music Awards.
For the special occasion, the country singer opted for a classic black suit and matching cowboy hat. As for Scott, she wore a Maria Lucia Hohan dress with Kendra Scott jewelry for her big night out.
“Hit the @amas red carpet with the best date by my side💙,” Brown wrote via Instagram on Monday. “Ready to soak it all in and have some fun tonight!”
According to a source, the couple skipped the after parties and were spotted enjoying a romantic dinner together.
“They didn’t care about the scene,” the source shared. “They just wanted to spend time together.”
