When one woman made a TikTok recalling a horrifying incident while playing golf, she didn't realize she'd get so many comments about the concealer she was using.
On Jan. 26, 24-year-old Brittney Rockwell shared a video explaining how she ended up with severe bruising on her forehead and around her eyes while playing golf at a sports complex. Rockwell said that after she hit the ball, it ricocheted off a ball dispenser and hit her in the head.

Commenters were shocked by how bruised the California resident's face was from just one hit to the head, though at the end of the video, she said that doctors told her gravity pulled the swelling from her forehead down to her eyes.
As she recalled the details of the accident in the now-viral clip, Rockwell attempted to cover up her bruising before she headed to work. "I don't have color corrector. I'm gonna hope and pray my concealer covers this," she said.
Despite the deep purple and blue hues, her concealer of choice — the Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer — completely hid the discoloration. Viewers on TikTok were seriously impressed with the transformation.
"I’m glad you’re okay but this needs to be an ad for hourglass concealer lol," one joked in the comments.
"Well, you for sure influenced me to buy the concealer 😂" said another.
A third wrote, "So I need that concealer asap."
Rockwell tells PEOPLE that she's been using the concealer for about a year and it’s become "a staple in my routine."
"I was so surprised at how full coverage it is," she says. "I’ve been so scared to show my face, and the thought of showing up anywhere, but especially to work, looking like that had me terrified. I didn’t have any color corrector, and I had never had to cover up anything as serious as that, so I was very nervous.Â
For even more coverage on some days, Rockwell says she's also been using the Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation.
In the weeks that followed, Rockwell has shared updates with her social media followers on her healing process — and the makeup she used to cover the bruising.
