Is Today the Most ’90s Birthday Ever? Neve Campbell, Seann William Scott and More Xennial Celebs Who Celebrate on Oct. 3

There’s something about October 3.

Today happens to be the birthday of a boy bander, a Scream star, American Pie‘s bad boy and a handful of other Gen X-meets-Millennial celebrities who were born in the ’70s and ’80s. It kind of begs the question: is this the most ’90s birthday ever?

Here, find out which six stars are blowing out the candles today — plus the bonus two who celebrate tomorrow.

Gwen Stefani

No Doubt lead vocalist Gwen Stefani is turning 55 today. With hits like “Just a Girl,” “Sunday Morning,” “Don’t Speak” and “Spiderwebs,” Stefani and the rest of her bandmates became wildly popular in the ‘90s.

Neve Campbell

Canadian actress Neve Campbell is turning 51 on Oct. 3. She landed her first breakout role as Sidney Prescott in Wes Craven’s Scream (1996) — and recently revealed she’ll be back for the upcoming Scream 7.

Tommy Lee

Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee turns 62 on Oct. 3. Lee took a five-year hiatus from his group in 1999 and went on to form another band, Methods of Mayhem, the same year. He’s currently back on tour with the Crüe.

Kevin Richardson

Celebrating his 53rd birthday today is Kevin Richardson of the Backstreet Boys. With hits like “I Want It That Way” and “As Long as You Love Me,” Richardson and the rest of the Boys were some of the biggest heartthrobs of the ‘90s.

Sean William Scott

Sean William Scott earned a place in pop culture history as Steve Stifler in American Pie (1999). This year he turns 48 on Oct. 3.

Ashlee Simpson

Her debut album Autobiography dropped in 2004, but in the late 1990s, Ashlee Simpson was already on the scene, serving as a backup dancer for big sister Jessica Simpson briefly. The singer and former reality star turns 40 on Oct. 3.

Bonus: Alicia Silverstone

Okay so she was technically born on Oct. 4, but whatever! Alicia Silverstone, a breakout movie star of the ‘90s, turns 48 this year. After starring in films like The Crush and Batman & Robin, she became a household name; however, her most memorable role to many was in 1995 as Cher Horowitz in Clueless.

Bonus: Rachael Leigh Cook

Rachael Leigh Cook turns 45 on Oct. 4. The actress rose to fame in the mid-‘90s for her role in The Baby-Sitters Club (as Mary Anne) and starring opposite Freddie Prinze Jr. in She’s All That in 1999.
