Isla Fisher is recognizing ex-husband Sacha Baron Cohen amid Father’s Day.

On Monday, June 16, the proud mom of three, 49, posted an Instagram Story honoring the father of their children. The divorced couple share daughters Olive, 17, and Elula, 15, and one son, Montgomery, 8.

In the post, Fisher added a photo of Baron Cohen, 53, with one of their children when the child was a baby. She included a red heart emoji over their child’s face, as the couple have chosen to keep their kids out of the public eye.

“And forever….. Happy Father’s Day to the best father our children could hope for @sachabaroncohen,” her Instagram Story read.

Fisher’s post came three days after the pair announced in their Friday, June 13, Instagram Stories that they’d finalized their divorce.

“Our divorce has now been finalised. We are proud of all we’ve achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children,” they wrote. “We ask for the media to continue to respect our children’s privacy.”

Fisher told The Sunday Times in February that the end of her marriage was “the most difficult thing I’ve been through.”

“[I] learned so much about myself in the process,” the Dog Man star continued. “I never imagined my family being separated, but we are committed and loving parents.”

The British actor and Australian actress first met in 2001 and married in 2010. They have kept their family life out of the spotlight. “We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change,” the pair wrote in their statement announcing the divorce.

The parents rarely discuss their children with the press, with Fisher explaining to Marie Claire Australia in 2021 that they have a right to “just be kids.”

“Motherhood is actually my favorite topic, but I keep it private. I think all parents are trying to protect their kids, especially in the social media age,” Fisher told the outlet at the time. “I want our children to have a normal childhood, being able to play outside without pressure or scrutiny.”
