Jamie Lee Curtis is celebrating a big milestone for Christopher Guest!

The actress, 66, stepped out alongside her husband, 77, at the Tribeca Festival in New York City on Thursday, June 12, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Best in Show, which Guest directed, co-wrote and starred in.

Holding hands with Guest on the red carpet, Curtis flashed a smile for the cameras in a pearl-colored shirt-and-pants ensemble under a black blazer.

Her filmmaker husband rocked a classic navy suit, giving the ensemble an extra pop of color with a bold red, patterned tie.

Best in Show features an ensemble cast including Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Parker Posey, Jennifer Coolidge, John Michael Higgins, Michael McKean, Jane Lynch and more. Presented as a mockumentary, the comedy is a spoof on dog shows.

Guest opened a Q&A about his cult classic on Thursday by shouting out his wife, before telling the audience how he got the idea for Best in Show.

“I was walking [our] dog in a dog park, and there was a woman who saw me … and she came up to me and she said, without exaggeration, said it this way: ‘Oh, what’s that?’ ” Guest recalled, the crowd laughing. “I said, ‘It’s our dog.’ And [her] look was, ‘I’m so sorry for you.’ She had a purebred dog.”

“I walked away from that thinking, ‘This is really deep — this is seriously sad because our dog, this great dog, is just, you know, a mutt, basically. And I began to think about that,” he continued.

Guest went on to say he called Levy, his “writing partner,” with the idea of “doing this movie about a dog show.” And while Levy was initially not on board, they “talked about it quite a bit” and he eventually came around. Levy is credited as co-writer on the film with Guest.

Curtis has been supporting her husband (and vice versa!), both professionally and personally, for more than four decades.

This past December, the Academy Award winner marked 40 years since she tied the knot with Guest, in a sweet tribute that began with a black-and-white throwback photo from their wedding day in 1984. The second was a more recent snapshot of the couple’s shadows on the ground — hand-in-hand, mirroring their wedding picture.

“40 years ago today, on a rainy Tuesday afternoon at 4:30, Christopher and I married,” Curtis captioned her Instagram post. “We loved each other but barely knew each other. Today, we know each other really well and still love each other.”

The Last Showgirl actress continued on to say that she and Guest have “been through a lot and have raised and loved two beautiful daughters and started many new careers and weathered the myriad storms of life on life’s terms of loving and loss.”

“We held hands that day as we walked back down the aisle and we’re still holding hands today. I guess the beginning of ‘my hand in yours.’ The long and winding road,” Curtis concluded.
