Jason Kelce Shares His Favorite Part of Being a Parent While Celebrating Daughter’s 2nd Birthday

Jason Kelce and Kylie Kelce’s daughter Bennett is 2!

The couple’s third child celebrated her birthday on Sunday, February 23, and as a result, got a shout-out on her dad’s podcast.

During the Wednesday, February 26, episode of “New Heights” — which was recorded on Sunday — Jason and Travis Kelce wished Bennie a happy birthday in the first few minutes of the show.

“Bennett turned 2 today,” Travis, 35, said. “Right as you guys are getting ready to bring in another baby girl.”

In addition to Bennie, Jason and Kylie, 32, are also the parents of daughters Wyatt, 5, and Ellie, 3. They are expecting their fourth daughter sometime this year.

“What do you guys got planned for [Bennie]?” Travis asked his brother.

Jason, 37, explained that Bennie’s birthday celebration began the night before they recorded the podcast, adding that his family was continuing the fun without him that day.

“Unfortunately, we’re doing the podcast,” Jason said as he turned into a doting dad.

“Bennie, she is so funny right now, and she’s at that age where she responds and can talk, but she doesn’t always know what she’s saying,” Jason said of his daughter. “And it’s just adorable.”

“I don’t know it’s, it’s hard to explain, but it’s fantastic to interact with her on a daily basis, and seeing the the learning process and, like, the curiosity of a child all manifesting is just, that’s probably my favorite part about being a parent,” Jason continued as Travis listened with a smile.

Jason added that “just watching a child figure things out and being there with them while they’re doing that. And like, how amazing something as simple as, like, figuring out how to open up the fridge, or, you know, whatever it is every day, there’s gonna be something that just blows her mind that you take advantage of every single day as a grown-up.”

He joked, “You’re like, ‘Oh, my God, this just made this little kid’s entire day was figuring out how to screw unscrew a water bottle.’”

“Right now, that’s all she’s doing the rest of the day,” Jason said of Bennie’s new trick. “And it’s like the best thing ever.”

Jason then marveled at the prospect of being a dad of four. He told Travis that “by the time the next kid is here, we’ll have a 5-year-old, a 4-year-old, a 2-year-old and a newborn. So we’re in the thick of it.”

“We’re in the thick of it, big time. It’s gonna be crazy. I still don’t know how we’re gonna handle four, but it’s gonna be intense,” Jason said as Travis offered moral support.

“You guys will be great,” Travis told Jason, saying that he “can’t wait to get up in there and have some fun with those girls, then hand them right back to you,” he joked.
