Jason Tartick Details How New Dog Teddy ‘Saved’ Him: ‘Absolute Joy of My Life Right Now’ (Exclusive)

Jason Tartick has “no regrets” about going from one dog to two.

“I can’t stop smiling thinking about him,” Tartick exclusively told Us Weekly of his new dog, Teddy, while promoting his partnership with Ziploc and the Preserved Promos program, adding that deciding to expand his family via his new four-legged friend was “the most rewarding thing in the world.”

“I can’t wait till we’re off this meeting and I’m gonna go right upstairs and walk him,” he added. “He is the absolute joy of my life right now.”

The reality star added that it “felt like fate” when he met the pooch after walking into the local animal rescue. Tartick wanted to volunteer at a nearby animal shelter, so he told Us he “started googling places in Nashville, reached out to one, and it was that day that he was there.”

Jason Tartick is finally opening up about his split from ex Kat Stickler. “It was very real. It happened quick, it happened fast,” Tartick, 36, said on the Monday, January 27, episode of his “Trading Secrets” podcast of his and Stickler’s breakup. “It was unexpected and that was really, really hard.” The former Bachelorette contestant, […]

”When I met him, I instantly fell in love and there was no turning back at that point,” Tartick said of meeting Teddy. “I’m obsessed with him.”

The star also said Teddy “saved me as much as I saved him.”

Tartick, who has a new partnership with Ziploc, also spoke about financial literacy and transparency — conversations he said need to be destigmatized. “It’s okay to not be perfect,” he said. “Most of us aren’t. Let’s just talk about things that we could put in place. I think the issue right now is we weren’t taught anything about money in school, and we certainly weren’t taught how to talk about it.”

If people have conversations about money “in a healthy way,” he added, he believes “people can be inspired by someone else’s success” and as a result want to “learn more” about their finances.

Tartick and Ziploc are working together to flip the script on expired food promos. Between March 10 and April 7, shoppers can visit PreservedPromos.com and trade in expired promo codes from retailers like Walmart, Kroger, Target and more.

Tartick also told Us that of his reality TV buddies, Tyler Cameron is someone who has made arguably the most sound financial decisions following his television success.

“Tyler has done a really good job of stepping into his contracting work, which on his promo in The Bachelorette, he was doing his contracting work, and that’s what his dad did,” Tartick said. “And, and now he has a TV show on that. So I think when you see people from the franchise that really step into who they are and, and, and own that in such an authentic way, they’re seeing so many new opportunities.”

He also cited Kelsey Anderson, who he said is “so funny and relatable,” as another alum who has “done such a great job of stepping into that and building a brand around just everything that’s unique to her.”
