Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are stepping out as newlyweds!
On Saturday, June 28, the Amazon founder, 61, and former news anchor, 55, were photographed in Venice, Italy where they left the Aman Hotel before stepping into an awaiting water taxi to visit the iconic Harry’s Bar for lunch.
Clad in an off-the-shoulder black dress and sun hat — and holding an Hermès Kelly clutch — the new Mrs. Bezos waved and blew kisses to onlookers as her husband helped her into the boat and the two arrived at Harry’s.
The iconic spot was closed to the public for their post-wedding special lunch, so the two could enjoy their meal in private.

The couple tied the knot in a black-tie ceremony on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, on Friday, June 27.
The couple celebrated their Italian nuptials over several days, welcoming a number of their celebrity friends for the lavish festivities in the Floating City, including Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Orlando Bloom, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Karlie Kloss, Leonardo DiCaprio, Usher and Tom Brady.
Other notable guests included Queen Rania of Jordan, Bill Gates and his girlfriend, Paula Hurd, François-Henri Pinault, and fashion designers Diane von Fürstenberg, Domenico Dolce and Tommy Hilfiger.
A source tells PEOPLE the couple’s wedding ceremony kicked off with a performance of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley, sung by Matteo Bocelli to cheers from the guests.
Shortly after the nuptials took place, Sánchez shared the first photo of the wedding on her Instagram. She and Bezos can be seen smiling and holding hands in a garden setting as their guests looked on.
According to Vogue, Sánchez’s corseted, mermaid-style wedding dress was custom-designed by Dolce & Gabbana and featured hand-appliquéd Italian lace. She wore borrowed Dolce earrings. And her something blue? A secret souvenir from her Blue Origin space flight, per the outlet.
Bezos first popped the question to to the Emmy-winning journalist during a summer vacation in Europe in May 2023. She told Vogue in December 2023 that she “blacked out a bit” when he showed her the 30-carat engagement ring.
After news broke of the proposal, a source told PEOPLE that Sánchez was “on cloud nine” about being engaged to Bezos. “No one has ever seen her happier,” the source said. “She is elated to be engaged to Jeff. He is her prince.”
The former TV anchor said during a November 2024 appearance on Today that she was approaching wedding planning as most people do.
“I have to say, I do have a Pinterest,” Sánchez joked. “I’m just like every other bride.”
