Jennie Garth Convinced Me to Try This Rich-Looking Sweater That’s Actually Only $38 — I Can’t Stop Wearing It Now

It’s cold and dreary where I live in New Jersey, so while I eagerly await sunshine and beach days, I’ve been living in sweaters.

I have more than a dozen options hanging in my closet, but I’ve been on the hunt for a tan-colored layer. I wanted something to wear with my collection of black jeans, pants, dresses, and skirts that wouldn’t look drab and would be easy to care for. As much as I love my cashmere and wool options, I get annoyed every time I need to hand-wash them or send them to the cleaners.

When I spotted the Me by Jennie Garth Bailey Boatneck Sweater from QVC, I immediately loved the shape and color, so I was excited to have the opportunity to test it out. Now, it has solidified its spot in my rotation — and it’s on sale for just $38.

The sweater stands out because of its solid structure. The raglan design stretches all the way down the side of the sleeves and holds its shape, so the oversized fit doesn’t look sloppy. The boatneck is elegant, and the ribbed details along the neckline and hem add texture and visual interest to an otherwise neutral shirt.

I am both petite and plus-size, so when I find a top that fits my size 16/18 frame, it’s often too long for my arms. This sweater, which I tried in an XL, solved the problem with elongated ribbing at the wrists that holds it in place. It gives the sleeves more dimension and a puff-sleeve appearance, which is different from any other sweater I own. It’s machine washable, too, so it’s easy to keep clean.

In a QVC video, Jennie Garth said the top is “inspired by a vintage sweater” that her aunt wore, which I love. The fit reminds me of a classic Fair Isle sweater, but without the busy and hard-to-match pattern. Garth said she loves wearing it because it’s “real soft,” and I agree — it’s so cozy against my skin.

Customers praised the top as “different” and “very flattering.” One person shared, “It’s substantial without being heavy,” which is one of the things I like about it, too. A few reviewers noted that the sweater pilled quickly, which I noticed, but it was easily refreshed with a comb.

Add the vintage-inspired sweater to your closet while it’s on sale. Keep reading for more on-sale Jennie Garth sweaters. Prices start at $28.
