Jennie Garth Takes Shelter With Ex-Husband Peter Facinelli Amid L.A. Fires: ‘So Grateful’

Jennie Garth is leaning on her ex Peter Facinelli during difficult times.

Garth, 52, took to Instagram on Thursday, January 9, to share that she and her family had taken shelter with Facinelli, 51, after evacuating their Los Angeles home due to the ongoing fires in the area.

“This is just devastating for everyone. I’m so sad. Deep sadness today. My family and I are safe. Our home made it through the night and we are feeling so blessed and so fortunate and so lucky,” Garth said in a video to her 1.3 million followers. “Just praying for everybody else. We’re so, so lucky more people weren’t hurt or trapped in the fires.”

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum shared that she and her husband, Dave Abrams, were planning to return to their home and thanked her ex for letting them stay the night. “Think we’re going to go back to our house. It’s a mess but it’s fine. It’s still there,” she said.

Garth continued, “I’m so grateful for Peter for letting us stay at his house—me and all the girls, and the dogs, and Dave.”

Garth reiterated her gratitude to her ex in the caption of her Instagram post, writing, “I wanted to let you know that we are safe. Peter and his family took us in and have been so kind. I am deeply saddened for our city and just feel numb.”

“Our home was spared but so much to clean up and ready to get active to help our neighbors and friends and fellow Angelinos,” the actress continued, adding that her husband has been “transporting all our bags and boxes, loading and unloading.”

“I am grateful we are all OK and have a home to return to,” Garth added.

Wildfires began across Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 7, and continued through Thursday, ravaging the exclusive Pacific Palisades area, Malibu, Santa Monica and the Hollywood Hills. Stars including Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal and Miles Teller have lost their homes in the fires.
