Jennifer Affleck Thanks Her Therapists for Helping Her Through Emotional Past 6 Months

Jen Affleck is looking forward as she reflects on her emotional journey over the past six months.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 25, shared a recap on Instagram Reels on March 30 with the overlay text, “Where have you been the past 6 months?” The post featured several sweet and private moments with her husband Zac Affleck and their children, Nora, 3, and 20-month-old Lucas.

Jen, who is expecting her third child, also documented her pregnancy journey and moments from the wellness retreat she checked herself into in early March. She also included a sweet clip with her daughter Nora, where she encourages her to say, “I’m strong” and “I’m kind” to herself.

The video then transitioned to clips of Jen as a young girl before the Reel concluded with her cuddling up to Zac during her maternity photoshoot.

“There’s so much more to our story than many realize,” Jen wrote in her caption. “This journey is ongoing, and there’s still so much to learn. We can only take it one step at a time.” She also shouted out the “mentors, therapists, and healers who have supported us along the way” and “everyone who has shown their love and support” during this time.

“Your kindness has helped me heal in ways I can’t fully express. Love you all 🤍,” she concluded in her caption.

Jen’s fellow Mormon Wives stars also shared their support by liking her post, and MomTok member Mayci Neeley commented, “Love you Jen! ❤️.”

Jen has been open about her ongoing struggles on social media as she heals from trauma. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE when she announced her pregnancy in February 2025, Jen shared that “the first trimester was really challenging mentally and physically” for her.

“I thought having two kids back-to-back was tough, but this has taken things to a whole new level,” she continued. “With the stress of work, motherhood, and the challenges that come with pregnancy, it’s been a lot.”

Jen also opened up about the “many dark days” she and Zac faced as they dealt with the public scrutiny around their marriage, especially after the first season of Mormon Wives aired in September 2024. “While I’m not sharing all the details online, it’s been essential for our relationship and mental health to keep our journey private until we’re ready to talk about it,” she said.

“Filming can be incredibly mentally draining, and adding pregnancy along with all the challenges I faced this last season was a big challenge,” she continued. “After dealing with the backlash from season 1 and stepping into season 2 with a lot of baggage, this pregnancy has been the toughest.”
