In a flip of events, it seems like flip-flops are back “in.”
The low-key shoes that you probably reserve for in-the-house wear or casual errands like grocery runs are showing up everywhere right now. Last July, Jennifer Lopez paired them with a feminine dress while vacationing in Italy, and just one day prior, Jennifer Lawrence styled them similarly while walking around New York City.
Jennifer Aniston, on the other hand, took a more laid-back approach with her jeans, tank top, and flip-flops ’fit earlier last summer, showing that there’s no right or wrong way to wear them. Kylie Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Sofia Richie Grainge, and Gwyneth Paltrow have all previously signed on to the trend, too. So before the weather heats up for good, we're picking up similar styles at Nordstrom.

Havaianas Metallic Logo Flip-Flop
So many pairs of flip-flops, like these ones from Havaianas, are under $50 at Nordstrom. They’re super streamlined like J.Law’s, but they have a pop of gold that makes them look more high-end than a pair of shower shoes. We haven’t seen this exact pair on any celebrities, but the brand collaborated with Gigi Hadid (another celebrity fashionista), so it only seemed fitting to include them here.
Tkees Lily Mirror Square-Toe Flip-Flop
On the flip side, these Tkees sandals are a little pricier, but they are from the same brand J.Lo was just seen wearing, and one she’s been seen in more than once over the years. This pair comes in a fun metallic color that would pair nicely with a vacation dress, and it has a square-toe silhouette, which may be more comfortable if you have wide feet.
OluKai Ohana Flip-Flop
It seems celebrities are sticking to slimmer pairs, but there’s no rulebook that says you have to. This chunky flip-flop has “great arch support,” “no slipping and sliding,” and helped minimize one customer’s foot and tendonitis pain in their ankles. The straps are also water-resistant, per the brand, so don’t be scared to wear them to the beach, pool, or even while watering the plants.
