Jennifer Lopez’s tour stop in Turkey included a surprising moment for the pop star.
Lopez, 56, stopped by a Chanel store in Istanbul on Monday, Aug. 4, but a security guard prevented her from doing so because it was at full capacity, reports Türkiye Today. The “Can’t Get Enough” artist was reportedly cordial about it, saying, “Okay, no problem” before walking away.
The store’s staff reportedly invited Lopez back, but she went to other high-end fashion stores instead. She stopped by Celine and Beymen stores, per Türkiye Today.
Lopez’s visit to Turkey’s largest city coincided with her Aug. 5 performance at Yenikapi Festival Park during the Istanbul Festival. She is near the end of her Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour, which wraps up on Aug. 12 in Sardinia, Italy.
The Istanbul stop was Lopez’s second visit to Turkey on the tour. On July 23, she performed at Regnum Carya Resort Hotel. The day after that show, she celebrated her birthday there.
“What a gift you all are! Thank you so much for all your beautiful birthday wishes,” Lopez captioned an Instagram carousel featuring photos from the birthday celebration.
During her tour stop in Madrid, Lopez welcomed Spanish painter Esther Moya González backstage. The artist is known for live-painting musicians outside their shows and had the opportunity to present her portrait of Lopez to the singer in person before the show.

When Lopez returns to her native U.S., she’ll likely be busy ramping up for the release of Kiss of the Spider Woman. The musical film, written and directed by Bill Condon, had its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January and will be released to theaters on Oct. 10.
The new film is based on the musical by Terrence McNally, John Kander and Frank Ebb, which in turn was inspired by the 1976 novel by Manuel Puig. Diego Luna and Tonatiuh Elizarraraz star as prisoners Valentin and Molina, respectively. Lopez plays Ingrid Luna, a screen diva whom Molina idolizes.
