In season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Jessi Ngatikaura ended up in hot water with Jen Affleck after her husband Jordan Ngatikaura and Demi Engemann’s husband, Bret, performed a Chippendales-inspired dance at a Halloween party. During the performance, Jordan gave Jen a lap dance, which became a point of contention between some of the women.
The dance was a reference to the season 1 controversy, where Jen and her husband, Zac, got into a major argument after she went to Chippendales with the cast.
In episode five, which premiered alongside the other nine episodes on May 15, Jen and Jessi got into a heated argument about the situation, with the 25-year-old explaining that she didn’t give “consent” for the lap dance. Meanwhile, Jessi, 32, said she couldn’t trust Jen because she lied about being related to Ben Affleck.
Later in the episode, Jessi complained about Jen saying that her husband “had his tiny d—k all over her” during the party. She also shot down the suggestion that her husband was trying to make a move on Jen — before dropping another big bombshell.
“It’s really hard to catch me at a loss for words,” she said in a confessional. “But I was completely shocked after my argument with Jen because the accusations she was throwing were just crazy to me. Like, ‘If this is an invitation to swing, the answer is no.’ ”
She continued, “First of all, Zac would not be my first choice in this group of husbands. Second of all, I did have a situation in a past relationship, and it did involve swinging. But that was way in my past and something I shared with her in confidence.”
Jessi said that Jen alluding to her swinging secret “shows me that she’s willing to throw daggers when she feels backed into a corner.” She added, “I don’t want anything to do with a friend like that.”
Jessi’s swinging confession is particularly notable since major storylines in seasons 1 and 2 involved the fallout from a swinging scandal involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Miranda McWhorter. During season 2, McWhorter confirmed a lot of Paul’s claims about the “soft swinging” they took part in.
Jessi previously hinted at her swinging past when some of the Mormon Wives cast made an appearance in season 2 of Hulu’s Vanderpump Villa. In the third episode, the group played Never Have I Ever, prompting someone to ask if anyone had ever “had a threesome.”
Jessi then asked, “Is swinging a threesome? Oh, ok,” before putting a finger down, indicating that she has had a threesome in the past. Someone asked her for the story, and she said, “You’re gonna have to wait to watch Secret Lives.”
In the final moments of episode 10, cast member Layla Taylor met with Marciano Brunette, a Vanderpump Villa cast member. There was a rumor that Marciano was involved with Demi, but he said nothing actually happened.

But then Marciano, 31, brought up a rumor that he was spotted kissing Jessi at TomTom in West Hollywood, Calif. Jessi also addressed this rumor in episode six of Secret Lives, saying that she and Marciano were just hanging out and maybe fans confused her with Demi and started the drama. She added, “If I was dumb enough to do that, I wouldn’t do it in public.”
But Marciano said it was true. Layla asked if they “made out,” and he claimed they did “more than that.” He said they were still in contact and trying to meet up and that Jessi’s husband doesn’t know “the truth about how extensive it was.”
Layla then asked if they had sex, and Marciano nodded. In a preview for future episodes, Jessi denied the allegation and Jordan blamed the rumor on Demi.
When asked whether or not she had been involved in swinging during a September 2024 episode of Scheana Shay’s Scheanigans podcast, Jessi noted that she and Jordan do not have an open relationship.
“I’m always the type of person that’s like I’ll say yes to anything once but as far as like being a swinger within my marriage now, no,” she said. However, Jessi said she understands why someone would “open that door” if they’re in a rocky relationship, adding, “In my first marriage, I’m not going to lie, I probably would have.”
