Jessi Ngatikaura is addressing where she stands with her estranged husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, a year after their separation.

In November, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star claimed to PEOPLE that she had received “emotional abuse” from her husband and that the pair agreed to a 90-day separation, working on their relationship in therapy (in a previous statement to PEOPLE, Jordan said, “I take full accountability for the pain I caused Jessi during our marriage”). The news also came after Jessi came clean about her affair with Marciano Brunette, a cast member on the Hulu show Vanderpump Villa, during the show’s third season.

In the fourth season of Mormon Wives, streaming now on Hulu, the pair continue to work on their marriage. They are filmed through several intense fights, and Jessi starts using publicly using her maiden name (a decision Jordan calls “selfish”) while other members of MomTok notice that Jessi is spending nights away from home at a hotel.

Jessi also learns that her prenuptial agreement was not signed by a witness, putting its validity into question. At one point, she tearfully tells other cast members that she could lose “millions” if she decides to get a divorce.

In an interview with PEOPLE ahead of the fourth season’s release, Jessi says that she and Jordan are still “going to a lot of therapy” — both individually and as a couple — to work through their marital issues.

“We've been doing that for about a year now since the separation happened, and it's helped a lot,” continues the reality TV star. “It's taught us both a lot about how we are as individuals and how we are in a relationship, and it's just kind of still a work in progress.”

Jessi also says that it’s perfectly “normal” for marriages to have rough patches and that she finds fulfillment in sharing that with viewers of the show.

“I just wanted to share that because I know marriage is hard, relationships are hard, and it's normal to struggle,” she explains. “Even in a good relationship, you're gonna have ups and downs. So I just think it's good to show people that it's worth fighting for, it's worth working through and it's something that's always a work in progress.”

Outside of her marriage, Jessi has recently made headlines after she publicly addressed comments she’s received about cosmetic procedures she’s received. After undergoing an upper and lower blepharoplasty and some facial fat grafting in December 2025, she said publicly that she would “never touch” her face again.

"I have such self-confidence issues, and looking back, I can see how I was blinded by those, and I was beautiful," Jessi said in a video she posted to social media in March. "Unfortunately, I went way too far because of those insecurities … It's like the biggest learning lesson of my whole life."

Speaking to PEOPLE in March, the MomTok continued to open up about the "hate and backlash" she received following her facial surgeries.

“That kinda shook me,” she said. “I don't think I'm ever gonna get things done again — I'm done — but I also don't think I would share it if I did because the internet is so mean.”
