Jessica Alba’s life is far more glamorous than mine, but at least my jeans are at the same level.
Last March, the Fantastic Four actress celebrated her pal Eva Longoria’s 50th birthday on a massive yacht in a pair of studded Reformation jeans — the one style that’ll affect your spring closet in ways even bigger than the boat they were on. How do I know this? Well, I splurged on the exact same pair (studs, wash, and all), and I'm still a fan.
The wide-leg style made her look tall (exhibit A) and were also chill enough to dance around and let loose in (exhibit B). Plus, the silver studs made her basic uniform look yacht-worthy and much cooler.

Let me start by saying, I’m a certified jeans hater — so much so that I’d rather stay in than wear a pair of denim. But the second I laid my eyes on these jeans at the end of 2024, I knew I needed them.
I was totally prepared to return them since I wasn’t quite sure I wanted to spend $218 on a pair of pants. But once I brought them home, I knew they needed to stay right where they were. Not only is the wide-leg fit super flattering on my 5’8” frame, but the cotton-tencel blend is also shockingly comfortable and soft. (Note: I tried them on in the store and was told some people size down, but I stuck to my true size.)

Case in point: I once had them on for about seven hours and never once felt the need to rip them off. I also got a “Cute jeans!” compliment as I was leaving the restaurant bathroom, which immediately made them worth it.
I paired them with a white top, though mine was a button-up shirt, and I swear the studs just made things feel everything but basic. I felt wildly nostalgic for the times I’d walk around in jeans with bedazzled back pockets and intricate designs.

I still need to pick up something with a satiny, silky appearance like Alba’s to try out her way of styling the dazzling bottoms. I will not be on a yacht any time soon, so a more casual tank top like this one is much more realistic for me. It’s also only $10, which is purposefully low-lift to offset the cost of the jeans, and a spring staple that can be worn by the pool, at the gym, or, well, anywhere.
