Jessica Biel is giving a rare glimpse into her family life with husband Justin Timberlake and their two kids.
The Better Sister star, 43, shares sons Silas, 10, and Phineas, 4, with the “Mirrors” singer, but despite having two famous parents, the boys aren’t as impressed by Mom as they are by Dad.
“No, no, not at all,” Biel responded when asked if her sons realize how “cool” their parents are during an appearance on the Tuesday, May 20, episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “Well, I think they think Justin’s kind of cool ‘cause the music element and, like, he’s Daddy.”
In fact, the actress said she is considered something of an embarrassment to little Phineas, who turns 5 in July.
“I am so lame to them,” Biel shared. “Let me tell you the new phrase for my 4-year-old is: ‘Mom, you have the worst ideas.’ Silas is like, ‘Don’t engage, Mom. Back up off the field.’ I’m like, I just said, ‘Good job!’”
Host Jimmy Fallon then shared a recent project Phineas created in school for Mother’s Day, describing his mom. The 4-year-old wrote that his mom was 12 years old and had “straight down brown” hair. He also noted that she had blue eyes. “They’re green,” Biel quipped to Fallon.
Phineas also wrote that his mom is “John Cena’s friend.” Biel and Cena recently filmed the movie Matchbox, based on the toy brand of the same name, and Biel admitted that her newfound friendship with Cena made her infinitely cooler to her two boys.
“Okay, I got some cool mom points from that. They love him. They’re crazy about him,” she said.

She then quipped, “That’s who I am to him. I think if John and I ever fall out and we’re not friends anymore, I think I should go find a new family.”
Biel’s husband, Timberlake, recently paid tribute to the actress to celebrate Mother’s Day on May 11.
“Happy Mother’s Day to the superwoman who puts up with all the boys,” Timberlake, 44, wrote via his Instagram Story alongside a photo of Biel smiling for the camera as she embraced one of their sons.
“We love you so much mama,” the singer added over another image of Biel kneeling in front of their sons as they sported Timberlake’s merch.
Months before Mother’s Day, Biel opened up about marriage with Timberlake while celebrating his birthday in January. (The couple tied the knot in 2012.)
“Another year to make memories that I keep sacred in my heart. Another year of joy and challenges being a parent with you. Another year together being curious and creative in the world. Another year growing and evolving and sometimes devolving, with you. Another year laughing about it all,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “Happy birthday my love 🤍.”
Timberlake commented, “I love you so much!!! 😍😍😍.”
