Julie Chrisley Has No Plans to Return to Blonde Hair After Prison Stay, Son Chase Says

Julie Chrisley is not planning to return to her trademark blonde hairstyle now that she and husband Todd have been released from prison, according to her son Chase.

Chase, 28, weighed in on his mom’s locks while speaking to Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, May 29 after Julie was spotted rocking her natural brown and gray hair in photos obtained by Fox News Digital earlier that day.

“I mean my mother’s an angel and she’s still a beautiful woman. Her hair’s darker now. I went, ‘Momma, we gotta [go] back platinum blonde,’” Chase told Entertainment Tonight. “And she was like, ‘I’m not doing that.’”

Chase also commented on how his father’s looks have changed, noting, “My dad is just jacked.”

Todd and Julie were each released from federal prison on Wednesday, May 28, with their kids picking them up. (In addition to son Chase, Todd and Julie share Grayson, as well as adopted daughter Chloe, who is the biological child of Todd’s son Kyle. Todd is also dad to daughter Lindsie from a previous marriage.)

“My parents have not spoken to each other, heard each other’s voices or seen each other in the past two and a half years,” Savannah, 27, told reporters outside the Pensacola, Florida, prison where Todd had been incarcerated since 2022. “Their 29th wedding anniversary was May 25, so we’re only a few days out from that. So when they reunite, we’re going to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, Christmases, all the things, because we’re going to make up for lost time.”

The Chrisley Knows Best couple were indicted on fraud charges in 2019. While they each maintained their innocence, Todd and Julie were found guilty in 2022. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison, while his wife was set to serve seven years. Their sentences were reduced by nearly two years in 2024.

Amid Savannah’s fight for their release, President Donald Trump signed a formal pardon earlier this week.

“It’s a terrible thing, but it’s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean,” Trump, 78, said in a Tuesday, May 27, phone call to Savannah. “I hope we can do it by tomorrow. I don’t know them, but give them my regards. Wish them a good life.”

Savannah reacted to the news of her parents’ release via a statement made to Us Weekly on Tuesday, May 27.

“For the past two and a half years, I’ve done everything in my power to fight for my parents’ freedom and bring them home,” Savannah said in the statement. “This moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family.

She added: “I also want to thank Alice Marie Johnson for her unwavering support and our attorney, Alex Little, for being an essential part of this process. Today is a victory for our family, but the fight against wrongful convictions and injustice within our prison system is far from over.”
