A popular K-Pop star collapsed during a performance, just days after leaving fans concerned about her weight loss.
A TikTok video shows singer and rapper HyunA performing her 2011 hit “Bubble Pop” at the Waterbomb 2025 festival in Macau, China, on Nov. 9, when she collapsed on stage, Korea Times reports. The former Wonder Girls singer, 33, had just turned her back to the audience during a dance move when she fell to the floor. She was carried offstage by security after her dancers rushed to her side.
HyunA (real name: Kim Hyun-ah) later addressed her collapse in the caption to an Instagram post of a simple black square. According to a translation from NME, the 4Minute alum wrote, “I’m sorry for not being able to perform as professionally as I wanted to. Honestly, I don’t remember anything.”
She continued: “Many fans from Macao came [to see the performance], And of course, my fans too. Everyone came all the way to Macao, and I’m so sorry. I’ll improve my stamina and continue giving my best.”
Last week, HyunA sparked concern after sharing a photograph to Instagram of her bruised and cut feet on scale, showing her weight as dipping below 50 kg. (less than 110 lbs.). The “Lip & Hip” hitmaker joked in the caption about “changing the first digit of her weight,” causing fans to question if she was referring to losing 10 kg. (approximately 20 lbs.) in one month.

The singer has a history of collapsing, per Korea Times, having shared she has vasovagal syncope. It’s a condition where your heart rate and blood pressure drop. It “leads to reduced blood flow to your brain, causing you to briefly lose consciousness,” Mayo Clinic explains. Although there are various triggers, HyunA has reportedly said she’s prone to collapsing when her weight dips below 45 kg.
She ended her post by telling her fans: “Don’t worry about me. I hope everyone has a good night. Good night.”
