Kaitlyn Bristowe broke the news to friends and family about her breast augmentation in an unconventional way.
“New boob goofin,” Bristowe, 39, wrote alongside an Instagram announcement on Thursday, May 1. “Don’t worry IBTC I may not be the CEO anymore but definitely still part of the club.”
Bristowe captioned the video, “Telling my friends and family I got twins.” The social media upload showed Bristowe holding up images labeled “left breast” and “right breast” in a similar way to how sonogram photos are shown in pregnancy reveals.
“Wait you called me about your boobs? I thought you were really having twins. What the f*** Kaitlyn,” Arielle Vandenberg teased in the comments section, to which Bristowe replied, “😂😂😂😂😂 the Meryl Streep of our generation.”

The former Bachelorette has opened up over the years about her evolving — and sometimes complicated — relationship with her body.
In February, Bristowe revealed she was experiencing a low moment, writing via Instagram, “Not me having body dysmorphia and then posting bikini pics. I don’t get me. But I love me.”
Bristowe has discussed her struggle with body dysmorphia since being thrust into the spotlight when she joined season 19 of The Bachelor in 2015. (After being on Chris Soules’ season, Bristowe was named the season 11 Bachelorette and got engaged to Shawn Booth . They split after three years together. Bristowe later got engaged to fellow Bachelor Nation alum Jason Tartick. They have since called it quits, with Bristowe currently being linked to Tayshia Adams‘ ex-fiancé, Zac Clark).
“5 years ago I would have thought I need[ed] to eat air and grilled chicken to prep,” Bristowe wrote via her Instagram Story in March 2024. “Right now in this moment I’m thinking, ‘Ugh I love snacks. Eating these snacks aren’t going to change my body overnight AND … working out and not feeding my body will only make me miserable.”
She continued: “I’m gonna be hard on myself no matter what but lets [sic] lean into alllll the feelings and try to love on this body that I keep strong and healthy.’ I still struggle but recognizing growth in a WIN. Body dysmorphia is real.”
According to Bristowe, being in the public eye has affected her — but she has no regrets.
“Everyone’s like, ‘Stop doing stuff to your face,’” she said in a February 2024 Instagram Story video. “I will never. I love skincare. I love having bright, tight, glowy skin. I love it.”
Bristowe has also clapped back against online critics.
“Believe it or not, I’ve done more work on the inside. You can’t physically see that, but I’ve never felt it more,” she captioned then-and-now photos of herself in December 2024. “To the people who always wanna comment ‘You were so much prettier before all the work you’ve had done,’ I suggest you do the important work on the inside before judging what’s on the outside.”
