Travis Kelce is taking his Super Bowl loss like a champ.
After the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles during the Super Bowl in New Orleans Feb. 9, the 35-year-old reflected on the game.
“I just wanted to thank my teammates for everything they f–king do, man,” Travis said on the New Heights podcast alongside his brother Jason Kelce Feb. 12. “You know, the effort, the focus, the work that we put in, that wasn’t the reason. Honestly, going into the game, I felt as confident as I ever felt in going into a Super Bowl or a playoff game or a big game in my life. And for a bunch of reasons that just—it just didn’t happen, man, just wasn’t our day.”
As he noted, the Chiefs ultimately “couldn’t find a lick of momentum.”
“I’m kicking myself for some of the tiny, tiny decisions I made on the field, trying to do something more than what I was asked to do during plays,” Travis—who has been dating Taylor Swift since 2023 said. “I wasn’t the best leader that I could be in motivating my guys and keeping my guys calm, cool, collected. And I put a lot of that on myself as the guy that’s been in the building for 12 years and seen a lot of football.
