NEED TO KNOW
- Kat Graham privately married Bryant Wood in October 2023
- Now, the couple is “finally” having a wedding in California with “200 people” expected
- The Vampire Diaries star also revealed who will be walking her down the aisle
Kat Graham is preparing to say “I do” again — nearly two years after tying the knot.
The Vampire Diaries alum, 35, revealed to PEOPLE in July that she and her husband, Bryant Wood, would finally have a wedding this year. During her appearance on the Baby, This is Keke Palmer podcast on Tuesday, Aug. 12, Graham spilled a few details about her upcoming celebration — including who will walk her down the aisle.
“We’re finally doing it. I’m excited. I’m like, ‘Wow,’ ” Graham told Palmer, 31.
Unlike Graham’s first private wedding to Wood, which was a civil ceremony in Los Angeles in October 2023, the couple’s second wedding will be “huge.”
“It’s gonna be in California. Just some, you know, intimate, like 200 people,” Graham teased.
She shared that her “godmother’s place” will serve as the venue. Her godmother will also have the honor of walking her down the aisle.
“She had lost her son and her husband, and I lost my mom and my brother,” Graham said. “So we kinda bonded over these weird losses that we had. She’s been my soul mom for like six years. And so she’s like walking me down the aisle.”
Graham and Wood had a “platonic” friendship for about “five years” before things turned romantic.
“Didn’t hold hands, didn’t hug, nothing,” the actress said. “We had a wellness company that ended up closing, and then we had to kinda wrap everything up. And he was single, I was single. Within two months- I mean, we dated, and then we got married after two months. Like, crazy people.”
Graham, who was engaged twice before to exes Cottrell Guidry and Darren Genet, joked that she was a “runaway fiancée” before meeting Wood.

Last month, the Duplicity star revealed that her wedding theme would be “animal party.”
“We’re finally having the actual wedding because we got married but didn’t have it. So you’ll be pleased to know we’re having a nice Jewish ceremony with a rabbi,” she told PEOPLE at the time. “And we got our katuba [a Jewish marriage contract] done, so we’re good.”
