Prince Louis seems to be following in his mom’s photography footsteps.
Princess Kate Middleton celebrated World Cancer Day with a powerful new photo that was snapped by her youngest son.
“Don’t forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease,” Kate, 43, captioned an Instagram post on Monday, February 3. The Princess of Wales is standing on top of a tree stump with her arms outstretched in the image. She was bundled up in a jacket, scarf and hat during winter in the U.K.
A second photo posted on Monday featured the same caption overlaid on a closeup of leaves covered in frost.

The World Cancer Day celebration post comes weeks after Kate confirmed that she confirmed her cancer was in remission.
“My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything,” she captioned a January 14 Instagram post. “We couldn’t have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.”
Kate’s post came after she made a surprise appearance at the hospital where she underwent chemotherapy that same day.
“In my new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, my hope is, that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives, and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer,” she continued at the time. “It is a relief to now be in remission. And I remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal.”
Kate’s statement concluded, “I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”

Kate announced in March 2024 that she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer after undergoing a planned abdominal surgery in January of that year. The Princess of Wales stayed mostly out of the public eye as she underwent treatment last year, save for a few events, including June 2024’s Trooping the Colour.
By September 2024, Kate announced that she had completed her chemotherapy treatments.
“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family,” she shared at the time. “Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
Kate continued, “Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.”
