Katy Perry decided to play an interesting new game that took a particularly unexpected turn.
In a funny Instagram reel posted on Tuesday, Nov. 25, the singer, 41, introduced a game called “Is it cardboard or is it cake?” in which she guessed whether a microphone stand was made up of one or the other.
The “Bandaids” singer was seen in the clip sitting on a table in a hotel room beside a model of a microphone stand with butterfly wings, similar to the one Perry has used onstage on tour.
“Hi, I’m in Shanghai and welcome to my episode of Is This Cardboard or Is This Cake?” Perry said to the camera, She then took a big bite out of the microphone, before quickly spitting it out.
“Oh f—, it’s cardboard!” Perry said as laughs could be heard in the background.
Perry’s latest video comes after she performed the first of three shows on The Lifetimes Tour in Shanghai on Tuesday, Nov. 24.
The Grammy-winner recently shared another video of her enjoying a real cake this time, while celebrating her 41st birthday on tour last month.
In the clip posted on Oct. 28, Perry was seen blowing out candles on a giant birthday cake while backstage with her tour crew. She then ran towards a crew member holding the cake and threw it at them. The crew member ducked, causing the cake to fall on the floor.
A few crew members were then seen picking up pieces of the smashed cake off the floor and eating it.

Perry is next scheduled to perform in Hangzhou, China, and Tokyo, with her final show of the year in Abu Dhabi on Dec. 7, before taking a holiday break.
A source recently told PEOPLE that the singer and her new beau, Justin Trudeau, are “making plans for the holidays” after wrapping up her tour.
“Without exaggeration, this year has been a whirlwind for her,” the source said. “She hasn’t even had time to really think about her life after the tour.”
