It’s not the Fourth of July without a glimpse of the Kennedy crew!
Kerry Kennedy shared a look at her family’s annual July 4 celebrations in an Instagram post on Saturday, July 5.
In a video, dozens of smiling Kennedys posed at their family’s compound in Hyannis Port.
“Happy birthday Chris, Kathleen and America! 🇺🇸,” Kerry, 65, wrote in her caption, referencing family members Chris Kennedy and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, who also marked their birthdays on the holiday.
Kathleen turned 72, while Kerry’s younger brother Chris celebrated his 62nd birthday.
The videographer behind the clip included a “Happy birthday” message in the footage itself, which also featured appearances from a few babies, dogs and other familiar Kennedy family faces, including Kerry’s brother, Joseph Kennedy.
One dog in particular could be seen on the far left of the frame, seemingly sneaking a bite of food off a plate as the family posed.
On her Instagram Stories, Kerry also shared a look at a holiday street race in Hyannis Port, as well as a link to the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights nonprofit donation page.
“Please join us in defending the core American liberties and values that we all hold dear: democracy, accountability, and equality before the law,” she wrote with the latter post.
Last year’s Kennedy reunion featured a similarly-shot video that was shared by Kerry, featuring a birthday sing-along dedicated to Kathleen. “Our annual family reunion celebrating my older sister Kathleen, younger brother Chris, and our beloved country, all born on the Fourth of July,” she wrote at the time.
In last year’s footage, Robert “Bobby” F. Kennedy Jr. — who was then running for president as an independent candidate, and has since been sworn in as the secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services following the 2024 election of Donald Trump — did not appear to be present. (Robert, 71, was also not visible in the 2025 family footage shared by Kerry.)

To celebrate the holiday this year, Kerry also paid tribute to her late mother Ethel Kennedy, who died at age 96 in October. Alongside a handful of throwback family photos, Kerry acknowledged in a caption how her mother would lead Hyannis Port’s annual Fourth of July parade from “her red, white, and blue-decked golf cart.”
“But she also knew that patriotism means more than celebration,” she wrote. “In 2018, Mum participated in a 24-hour hunger strike to protest Pres. Trump’s cruel ‘zero tolerance’ immigration policy. She understood that loving your country means holding it accountable, and fighting to make it better.”
“Today is a day for fireworks and family, for cookouts and joy, but also for reflection,” Kerry added. “Reflection on who we are, and the kind of country we want to be. Miss you, Mum. And wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday weekend. ❤️🤍💙.”
