Kim Kardashian Tricks the Eyes in Ultra Waist-Cinching Archival Mugler Bodysuit with a Cheeky NSFW Thong

Kim Kardashian is waisting no time showing off her figure.

On July 22, the SKIMS mogul, 44, displayed her hourglass silhouette in a vintage sheer — and ultra cinched — vintage Mugler bodysuit in a series of behind-the-scenes photos shared to Instagram.

Kardashian’s look originally debuted in July 1998 as a part of the fashion house’s Fall/Winter Haute Couture collection. It featured strategically placed sequin panels and a high neckline with almost the entirety of the design covered in sheer fabric. What Kardashian didn’t show off was the bodysuit’s NSFW thong backing, but included a reference photo to allude to the daring cut.

She captioned the post: “Mugler Magic.”

Her post comes on the heels of her runway walk in Demna Gvasalia’s last fashion show for Balenciaga on July 9.

She commanded the catwalk in a figure-hugging ivory midi dress paired with a fur coat and diamonds courtesy of Lorraine Schwartz.

Per a press release from the jewelry brand, Kardashian’s dress was an ode to the one Elizabeth Taylor wore in the 1958 film Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. The star wore a dazzling array of diamonds, including the Mike Todd Diamond Pendant Earrings, which were once worn by Taylor and purchased at auction by Lorraine Schwartz.

This isn’t the first time the reality television star has slipped into a risky look. In 2024, she made headlines for wearing an extremely cinched Margiela by John Galliano corset suit to the 2024 Met Gala.

In an episode of The Kardashians that documented the physical extremities of the “performance piece,” which left her feeling “claustrophobic” and with visible purple marks on her back afterwards. However, she said the difficulties were “abso-f—ing-lutely” worth it.

Another one of Kardashian’s most memorable moments from the fashion ball was when she controversially stepped into Marilyn Monroe’s champagne dress worn to serenade then-President John F. Kennedy on his 45th birthday. On The Kardashians, she described herself as a “shapeshifter” and confessed that she would “try everything” in her might to fit into the original dress.

Although not all of her tight-fitted looks have put her through as much trouble. For the 2024 Academy Museum Gala, she embraced her curves in a white bodysuit, this one again pulled from a vintage Mugler collection. Kardashian teamed the 1998 archival look with PVC heels and diamonds around her neck and ankle.
