Kristin Chenoweth Is All About Embracing Her Age: ‘Couldn’t Pay Me to Go Back in Time’

Kristin Chenoweth is content with where she’s at in life.

Chenoweth, 56, opened up about aging while empowering women and acting as Laura Geller Beauty’s Chief Mature Officer on Wednesday, April 9.

“I’ve lived, I have learned,” she told People. “I don’t even want to go back.”

The actress, who starred in both the original Broadway production of Wicked and its recent big screen adaptation, added, “You couldn’t pay me to go back in time. I am happy where I am and I own it.”

Chenoweth also joked that her temporary CMO role has helped her feel powerful and “mature,” which she said was better than being “out to pasture.”

As she took over the Laura Geller office, Chenoweth hilariously tested products and led marketing meetings — all while celebrating aging.

“Hi ladies,” she said with her Christian Louboutin kicked up on a desk, before taking a stroll around the office.

“You know I’m the Chief Mature Officer at Laura Geller, I don’t know if you guys heard,” she said to a number of staff members, who giggled. “Yeah, it’s a real thing. It’s happening.”

The camera then cut to the actress trying out powder foundations, which she joked usually made her look “approximately 187 years old.” Chenoweth then tried out the product and was pleasantly surprised by the baked makeup. She even sang in delight.

While leading a meeting, Chenoweth suggested her coworkers use the term “mature women” instead of what they had been saying, “old fart.”

Chenoweth shared the clip via Instagram alongside an uplifting message to women, writing, “Here’s your first official CMO memo: You’re never too old for anything. Now go out there and shine, that’s an order! 💄😉.”

She continued, “I’m 56, still singing, still chasing my dreams, and still feeling better than ever—because aging? We’re all doing it anyway, right? So why not embrace it?”

Chenoweth’s favorite Laura Geller products — including the Baked Balance-n-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation, the Baked Blush-n-Brighten in Tropic Hues, the Handbag Hero Translucent Setting Powder and the Modern Classic Lipstick — are currently on sale for National Mature Women’s Day at Laurageller.com.
